Well, its time to have a December entry before my fellow food bloggers wonder when this entry will come... Maybe next year? Hahaha... But to save people's money at NEctarie, I had to share comments on the desserts.. At least let people know what they should expect and what kind of dessert they should have, based on their preference..
Si Han invited me to Clarke Quay for a little personal food bloggers outing.. The only people I knew there were Si Han and Evan... So it was kind of a wonder what kind of people will I meet... It was a dessert outing and we were having desserts delight at Nectarie..
Its really great cuz we can try all sorts of cake without having to finish them all! but we need plain water alot... To cleanse our palette... Cuz having 7 types of desserts will make eveything taste the same after the third dessert tasting...
Here, on the left is the chocolate terrine with coconut mousse.. This was 2nd on my favourite list in NEctarie... But I felt that the chocolate was overpowering my preferred taste, coconut... Boohoo to that.. So my disappointment tells me not to eat this again if you prefer coconut over chocolate... Chocolate lovers may like it though..
This is the only worth eating dessert at NEctarie... So please go for this... All the other food bloggers totally agreed with me... Good base and the white chocolate and banana had a nice balance... So do try this if you have no other choice at Nectarie...
This is a no-no apple crumble... The crumble is nice, but its crumble.. How wrong can it go? This one is a little too dry... And they lacked the most important companion to the apple cumble... VANILLA ICE CREAM!!!!
So, try your luck to order vanilla ice cream with this.. If not, buy one from 7-eleven and put it on top... you may like it more...
This was alright... But again the chocolate took the plate... For this, the white chocolate took it... Cuz when I ate it.. My first thought was:"Har? Pistachio meh? I can't taste anything green lei..."
But sweet tooths should like this I guess... But if you are a pistachio fan, dun try disappointing yourself with this... unless, you hv really sensitive tastebuds to taste pistachio..
Opera... My first try... But the taste is inversely proportional to its look... To me.. After Weili said it tastes like Kikkoman Soy sauce, this cake was haunting me with that soy sauce taste... SO i didn;t poke my fork at it after the thought of kikkoman sauce... Evan was definitely disappointed... She loves Opera...
Tiramisu... I think whipped cream won the mascaporne for this... Couldn't taste the mascaporne... It needs more sponge fingers too... But Tiramisu isn't so nice anymore... Not sure why... Maybe the cream lacks something... Honestly, I prefer the ones I made 1 year back... I made a Tiramisu cheesecake and the Tiramisu in cups!
The lady who brought me here... Its a candid shot... BUt I think she looks FAB in this photo... vEry soft and warm.... Nice pic of Si HAn yeah?
The photo of new friends and catch-up friends...
