Five down.. one last battle to fight

Its really sick having to go through 15 days of exams in year 3. Kian Ping was so right.. I think he's one of the few who agree with me. Dave thinks this exam is passing by quicker than we think. But I feel that this exam is going on for too long.. too long for me to accept... Maybe cuz this sem, I seem less prepared compared to previous years... I used to get tutorials done before every lesson, take down answers before exams. Exams used to seem so short (and mind you it used to last for almost a month!) and I always hoped for more time to study.. And now, Even till the moment I took the exam, I have yet to read the solutions I obtained from Oinky for the tutorials. How lazy can I get? But This exam is really very bad.. Like today's aerody, the only thing I read was tut 6 and abit of equations here and there for Rotor Craft. CFD seems to be an sanscript which I could not decipher, so I gave up the entire questionn

My past few papers weren't my best efforts either. I seemed to have entered the exam with a brain of read through tutorials and randomly memorised formulas or incomplete studying. On top of that, its not as though I attended every lecture and tutorial. And even if I did, I probably listened with a half attentive brain.


Mango has this mushroom head which I find damn cute!!!


I seriously dun really give much of a damn about my results. If I can get a minimum B (not B+) for each subject, I will be damn happy liaoz.. Its like I nv even study, den nv da bao, I think I quite shen liaoz.. Some people studied like crap and still da bao.. That's pure unlucky.. I remembered my struggles the past two sems to do well. den end up getting Bs and Cs. Its unlucky, but not pure unlucky. Maybe there was abit of a lack in effort there.


Mango has grown bigger and she's 7 months. But she's still so cute!!


Well, dun really care so much. But hope oinky can do well. He's really good in all the exams he took, but he's damn careless.. The survey seems to need editing before I print it on Friday. Hope year 4 will be better.

Well, in the midst of exams, I'm pretty sure a large bunch of us lose touch with world concepts... Came across this Fortune magazine in my sister's home.. And these are the world's top 10 largest corporations:

The countries who were top in revenue were almost the same in 1996 and 2006, with US being first and Japan being second. But Singapore made it to 32 compared to nowhere in 1996. And it would seem US has gotten a larger share of the pie of the world's revenues.. China? made it from 16th to 7th.. its the fastst developing country..

Well just a little thought in the midst of exams.. Exams aren't everything.. These world issues are more important...

Well, its not that expensive actually.. Cuz Si Han and I have to clean up and prepare food.. Besides, its $12 for a whole night of fun and chilling!! So wad more can we ask for? :D So hope you people will come k? Its gonna be fun and good chilling after exam.. We may even have liqour.. Mahjong or board games!! So since its a maraTHON, we will THON.. So beer sessions will definitely be welcomed!! :D

TGEO means Thank God Exams Over (I noe it ain't over.. yet..)

Well, I know Exams ain't over.. But most of us ain't feeling as motivated as before to study like we used to.. Ain't we? But fret not.. Our last paper will be next Friday.. and my dearest baking Buddy, Si Han and I decided to organise an event for us to celebrate the end of EXAMS!!!

Details are pretty much on the poster above, so just RSVP with me or Si Han k? Well, one movie is already 9.50, exclusive if popcorn. So $12 isn't asking too much right? Plus there's free parking? You will catch at least three movies at my movie marathon, depending on how long u wanna stay.. If you can stay till the next morning, you should be able to watch at least 6 movies.. So wad do you say? We'll promise nice snacks.. So RSVP with Me and SiHan asap k? onky 25 people are allowed!

Corny Cornflakes Muffin

Would you believe I'm so bored I painted a picture of a cornflake muffin in a glassjar? Well, not really.. its just the effects of my camera.. I thought it looked like a painting though..

Kinda have craving for muffins,so here's my cornflakes muffin. Yummy... This is a normal shot, so the resolution is so much clearer.

The muffins were really good. Wholesome and tasty, and not too sweet. Toasted and served with a cup of latte for breakfast wakes u up to a good morning. Yummy..

Heat transfer today was pretty ok, Guess I could do most of the paper.. Just a few silly mistakes here and there, but I could do most parts.. Given the few days effort of last minute rushing of tutorials and reading the exam solutions only less than 10 hours before and up to the moment before I enter the exam hall, I dare say I did much better than I expected. A shoutout to Dave for answering my hopeless cries and tantrums... Thanks Oinky!! Wouldn't have done it without you. Seriously lack the mood to study. Even the night before the paper I was playing with sweet mango.. But Oinky helped me alot and stayed tantrum with my impatient cries for help and frustrations over not understanding...

Dad's mum here again, so here I am seeking sanctuary at my sister's place. So gonna stay at alone in this beautiful house of my sister.. :D Will upload pic of her place soon.. Its comfy.. :D

In the mood of Exams

Exams are the saddest part of a university life... Apart from Exams, everything in university is all worthwhile, From Friends to the activities you take part. Just that Exams take up too heavy a weightage.. If we had to study without Exams, we may learn better. But if we dun have exams, would we bother studying? Maybe having short quizzes every now and then would be a better option. When I came across this mail, I realise my life doesn't seem to part very far from it...

New School Semester: I returned from Hong Kong, getting ready for a new semester.

At the first week: It was hard catching up the stuff I missed for two days and returning from my holiday mood









At the second week: I decided to take a break and miss school to teach tuition and bake and maybe not waste time listening to lousy lecturers..










Before the mid-term test: Things like AerodyII and Heat Transfer seems a big waste of time, so I decided not to study..







During the mid-term test: What happens when a flow goes into a nozzle? Well, I'm not sure, But I do know I choked like that when I saw that question:







After the mid-term test: Aerody was a D, but I couldn't care less cuz wad is done cannot be undone..








Before the Final Exam: We still had loads of last minute graded assignments, it kinda blinded our view how close the Exams were.. So we were like chey.. Complete Assignments first bahz..








Once know the exam schedule: E-mail for the exam seating came before we even finished the last minute graded assignment for Aerody II and Flight Mech










7 days before Exams: Still sleeping at my usual sleeping time..







6 days before Exams: Looking like that in LWN, waiting for the answers to Aerody...









5 days before Exams: I looked like that studying in my room, but eventually, I landed up on my bed..








4 days before Exam: Well, when you are year 3, and taking the exams for the 5th time, You can't really focus that well unless you're a scholar..









3 days before Exams: I'm in a total looney mood... Cuz the tutorial solutions drive me like that:







2 days before exams: When I dun understand Dave's solution, I drive myself up the wall...











1 day before exam: Well, I'm moving house anywae, So I guess the bloodstain on the wall wun matter anymore..











Night before exam: The pile of stuff I cannot finish studying looks so hopeless.. Roar...









One hour before Exam: I could have sworn I would have done this if my breakfast table was the size of the Exam table.. Last minute revision over breakfast isn't very helpful either..












During the Exam: Lighting conditions are pretty good.. But I could feel the spotlight on me, emphasizing how desolate I was...

Once walk out from Exam hall: All the after exam discussions make me feel like this when I realise how wrong my answers were...

After the Exam, during the holiday: I can bua long long all my time till the next sem of torture starts.. Thankfully next sem is IA...

Oh well, I know its the exams.. but when I kind of realise I have no potential in this field, I rather keep myself happy remembering the moment in my life.. Besides, fantasizing about the holidays is so much more fun than studying for the exams..

Blueberry muffin with little blueberries in every bite.. The topping is something this muffin can't do without.. Blueberry Cream cheese frosting..

Went down to Traffic Police today to review my case.. There seems to be hope for a lighter penalty.. So I have to wait for two weeks for the results...

Poor Mango got Scabies.. No wonder she's always scratching herself.. Poor puppy... I just found out her birthday is on the 1st of May... SO cute.. I should hold her a birthday party next year.. I thought I got my rashes from her, but Dr Tan diagnosed it as skin allergy, so i'm safe! Wahaha...

Really slacking this exam away... Can't stand another moment of studying.. I dun really care if I get all Cs but I just want exam to end now so i can waste time guiltlessly... ROAR!!!

Sushi and Oreo Cupcakes

Spend two nights at Dave's place.. Finally got started on the piece of crap from Flight Mechanics.. The notes.. seriously horrendous... Prof Eicher Low chose some textbook, and he landed up using loads of crap from other books. Yet his sldies say nothing about the equations he plunk there. Its like he just splank the equation there, without telling you wad each term represents or wad its for, how it comes about.. TO be honest, think this course needs a serious revamp... Our flight mech part 2 is scairng my butt off... The textbook is quite ok, but certain parts contain loads of mistakes and certain parts have explanations of Prof Eicher Low standard...



We had Sushi on Saturday night.. I brought some of my sushi ingredients over and Voila!!! It tastes kinda diffeernt from outside cuz I put Japanese Curry in it.. Lol.. But my Japanese curry was nice!!! Too bad I didn't have meat to top it with.. But big onions, carrots and potatoes were just as great!! Yummilicious!!!

Today was supposed to be Steph's boyfriend's birthday.. Since she didn't prepare anything for her poor boyfriend, I took the honour of making him some oreo cupcakes.. I think it needed more sugar.. :P Kinda bland for my taste... Oh well, at least there were some leftovers for Oinky and I to Munch on.. Hehe...

BUSTED!!!!!

My letter to appear in court finally arrived. Its gonna be on the 2nd of January. God bless me to have it after my exams. But the letter arrived to my parents before I could hide it. Mummy sounded really worried about my 12 demerit points and the fine. I reassured her I will handle it on my own. Poor mummy. She has so much to go through. If I start in my mother's life story, I could make a movie. She's a real legend and I believe a huge part of me today came from her. So I really felt so bad to get the speeding problem and letting her know. I tried really hard to hide it from her. To save her from the added note on her list of worries. But guess it didn't work out. Just hope she won't worry too much about me. Poor mommy spends 99% of her time worrying about everything except herself.

Spennt a nice night at Dave's place and I totally enjoyed Oink Oink's mother's coooking... The roast chicken was better than KFC finger licking good. I should totally get the recipe. Since I brought cute little Mango over, I managed to take a video of Toto and Mango playing. As everyone observed, Mango has grown. Sho sad... Sob**

Did I mention I got a new dog? I named it Mocha. Cuz its fur reminded me of the colour of Mocha. Brown with a tinge of white. Ok.. Its Cappucino colour. But its such a long name for a dog. Mocha is a 6months old Chi Hua Hua and he's seriously chy, but being a male, They love peeing against walls and doors.. Its bad enough to do it on the floor, but on the door!?! But he's really quiet and shy....

Ruby returned from the second adopter after she bit someone there. Poor mummy had to chauffer Ruby here and there. If I knew Jasmine would make my mum a chauffer, I wouldn't have adopted Ruby. Everytime someone wants to take a look at Ruby, My mum has to drive to pick the people over to our place to take a look at Ruby. When they want to adopt her, Mummy has to drive Ruby and the adopter to their place. The next moment Ruby bites the new adopter, Jasmine calls my mum to go over to their place to pick Ruby back. I seriously think its a little overboard. This is gonna sound cruel, but Ruby needs the SPCA. Cuz the way she's being dumped around due to her biting behavior, I think she's happier when SPCA puts her to sleep. I can't let her roam in my place, so when mummy drives her back, she's leashed up and restrained to a less than 1m walking radius. But Jasmine and the volunteers at K-9 love insists on finding the right owner. But the problem is if Ruby doesn't stop giving people bads that leave ugly scars like the ones on my foot, she ain't gonna settle down and she will remain sad. On top of that, I feel bad making my mum take the trouble for me cuz I have exams.. But I dun think it very right to make my um a chauffer either.

Oh.. And my Nephew, Yi Heng turns one today!! Happy Birthday Yi Heng!! We kinda had a celebration on Wednesday and Thursday at Aloha Loyang. The stuff I baked was all out!!! Everyone finished the food I made. My carrot cupcakes with Lemon Cream Cheese Frosting gained the great recognitions from my mum. Coming from mummy, the carrot cakes must be really good!!! What's so special about these carrot cakes? Well, its packed with many goodies other than grated carrots!!! There's dessicated coconut, raisins, chocolate chunks in it. Only problem would be that my piping nozzles seem to be disappearing. My carrots looks.. 'not fresh' on the cupcake.. Lol..

Oh well, at least mummy's friends and cloase family members enjoyed it.. And Many of mummy's friends requested for a jar of of Chocky Chunky Cookies.. Wahaha.. But its really irresistably good... Even weight consious me couldn't resist. Looks like I have loads of baking to do after the exams!! :D

Meet Toto..The new addition to the Tan Family..

Wahhaa.. Check this out..This is the Tan's family new pup. Its a mini maltese and Steph called it Toto. Think Dave's sister, Steph, called it Toto cuz its cute, but i think a better reason will be that it may be a toto luck charm for their mum. Haha.. Well, the mum wasn't very excited about the new member of the family. But I think it'll past. When dogs are so cute, they won't be able to resist. The bottom two pictures had abit of special effects. I kinda explored the touch up functions of my T20. Thought it was pretty great. :P





I remember my Yi Ma disliking their new dog,Tracy. But after sometime, she always brought along a lunch box to pack any leftovers when they ate outside. And the leftovers were definitely not for my cousins.



Since my baking whisk broke down, I could only bake using hand whisk. That doesn't allow me to bake that often, but I managed to bake the white chocolate sandwich biscuits. I have finally decided to call it 白い恋人(shi-ro-i ko-i-bi-to). It means white lover. The biscuit was made to perfection after a light toast to bring out the aroma of the eggwhites and the crisp made the biscuit a taste of 気持ち(ki-mo-chi). It means a feeling of goodness. Not what the naughty boys think it is. Wahaha...



Well the flourescent lamp in my room kind of went out, So in a way, I have been licving in darkness for the past three nights. So if you look at this photo below, it was taken with a flash in darkness.
